Irrigation System Design

We have been responsible for research into and generation of algorithms for some of New Zealand’s most successful IT solutions in water resources and environmental management.

 

Irricad, which is widely accepted as the world leading irrigation design and management package for agricultural and horticultural applications, required highly complex mathematical solutions for the hydraulic design and analysis of pipe networks. The software uses an in house developed linear programming method to optimally select pipes and then a sparse matrix solution of simultaneous equations to hydraulically analyse the system.

 

Other unique solutions have been developed for interpolating elevation information and automatically selecting irrigation fittings and components.
